Pioneer 16xdvd/40xcdrom Won't Auto Play Music Cd's

I have a Pioneer 16xdvd/40cdrom that works great. However, for some reason it won't auto play music cd's. It will auto play any other type of cd that I insert into it, such as game software ect. The box for auto insert notification is checked in the device manager. Any ideas on how I can get my music cds to autoplay. There must be a preference somewhere that needs to be checked to make it work. Let me know.

Hehe... looks like you forgot to connect your audio cable from your DVD rom to your soundcard. If you bought that drive OEM... it doesn't come with one. Go buy one from any local computer shop.

It will play the music cd's with no problem but I have to click onto the drive to do so. The auto play doesn't work with music cd's for some reason. My cables are definitely hooked up correctly. Any ideas?

Oops... misunderstood you... Ummm... have u tried TweakUI? I'm not at home right now so I can't try it myself.

also depending on what program is set to play your audio cd's you may have to put that program in your start-up group, if ya want it to play whenever ya put a cd in.

I use the Windows Media Player that comes with Windows ME. My auto play works fine if I put a music cd into my CDRW. Just slide the cd in and the music starts to play with Windows Media Player. If I put my music cd into my regular cd rom I have to open up Media Player and hit the play button before I can play the cd. However, if the cd is a software or game cd the auto play works perfect. It is just the music cds that won't auto play. I wonder why the auto play works with music cds on my cdrw and not my cd rom. Any suggestions for a fix?
