i have a quistion of dvd's are the drives regin locked or the software that plays them regon locked? and same bout macrovision?
i do not want to pirate the dvd's but i have to run them though my vcr to get to my tv.. also playing differnt regon dvd's is not illegeal so mods do not lock..
 
Its the drives which are 'locked'. Most drives will allow you to change the region a maximum of 5 times, after which they will permanently stick with the 5th selection.
