I recently discovered this prior to flashing my 12x10x32 iomega drive (see hot deals forum), but for some reason both my cd-rom drives, both capable of UDMA, are running in PIO mode 4 in windows 2000 SP1; as verified by the secondary IDE controller properties and the slower than advertised speed benchmarks I get. Any idea why or how to fix it?
I have a Asus K7v with Athlon 700 slot A; and the VIA 4in1's which contain the IDE busmaster drivers aren't compatible with windows 2000.
Thanks for any help!!!
