Do women really use Pinterest? If not, who uses Pinterest? Am I out of touch with America?

I don't know about "women", but I am A woman and I do not use it.

I dont like it. Their layout is a mess and its very difficult to actually find what you want. I signed up for an account just to make searching easier but it really did not help much.

I was doing research for work so I Googled "blonde women in thong bikinis" and the only good images for my research were on Pinterest, so I signed up. Now they keep sending me emails with different young ladies in thong bikinis. some of them not with blonde hair. How do I make it stop?!

I hate accidentally landing on that site and not noticing. They use modal popups which are freaking annoying. Immediate X out of the tab.

Pinterest was popular at one time - it's basically a way to... image search for articles on subjects that interest people... namely women.... So home design/decor, crafting stuff, cooking, etc...

Wife had some initial interest, but I don't think she has touched it in a while.

It's basically a "Oh, Save this pin it's a COOL do it yourself project that you will never actually do - but you will save it and keep telling yourself that you will someday"

I never posted or whatever it is folks "do" on Pinterest but I did sign up at one point so I have an account.

Readily available sites like Google Image-search have rendered it mostly useless for my purposes at least.

I think it's pretty popular with the crafty types, and I know my wife used it when we planned our wedding for ideas.

This. I don't think that you can try to plan a wedding or major crafty-style project without coming across Pinterest, Etsy, Ravelry, etc.

Yes, there are some fine crafts people on Etsy. The Mrs. has an Etsy and Pintrest account. I don't think she bothers with either much though.

My Bloomberg news evening email yesterday said Pinterest shed a ton of users that quit the platform but advertisers were still spending high on it.
