I have a Hp 722C and I've never had printing problems, but I installed it today to use, which i havn't used in a while, and at first the black ink worked, but now it doesn't work anymore, and i don't think i ran out, because it was really black. and now it is so faded almost invisible, i run windows XP, what can cause this problem ? how to fix ?
 
try cleaning the ink cartridge... since you havent use the printer for a while, maybe dust got into the nossle of the cartridge and ink can't come out...
 
maybe you should try getting a new ink cartridge then... really sounds like it's your cartridge's problem...
