Pins on a 478 chip?

daos

Senior member
are there 2 pins on the 478 chips that are named BSEL0 and BSEL1? i think BSEL0 is the pin that tells the board that the bus is 100mhz, and BSEL1 is the pin that tells the board that its a 133mhz bus.

i was wondering that if you had a motherboard that could not be overclocked(dell), if you actually broke the BSEL0 off, leaving only the BSEL1, would the chip automatically default to 133mhz bus?

Yes, I have used this on 2 Tualatin celerons. for the same effect. and its been done on a shuttle sb51 as well.
