Pinnacle Systems DV-500 Plus - Need tips!

Don't know if anyone has one of these badboys, but i am looking for tips to make it quicker/easier...

Current Rig for the Video Editing system is:

Abit-BF6
PIII-750mhz cpu
768 meg of ram
30 gig Maxtor 7200rpm drive
60gig IBM 7200 rom drive.
DV-500 + and Breakout box
Creative Labs Geforce256

Everything is rock solid, no issues at all, i would recommend the card, but didnt know if there were other settings to explore...
