STUDIO 15 HD ULTIMATE
WINDOWS 7 PRO 64 / Q6600 Intel Quad CPU 2.4 / 8GB DDR2
Here I go again...I would like to apologize for my following ramblings, but this is all too frustrating, and I need help.
First of all, Can I do a REPAIR by downloading a file or patch, so when I open Studio 15, it does not freeze? I can always do a system restore to get the files back,and hopefully it would work again. I did this before.
I had a varying amount of frustrating problems with Studio movieboard 12.1, then upgraded to v.S14, then removed all pinnacle Files by using the REVO, and another pinnacle utility for a clean install of the TRIAL 15 HD,which I ended up purchasing the download key,and i have the fully licensed copy,but it's only a downloaded file, not a hard CD with program.
I was working on a current project, and creating a movie with the DVD/Best Quality mode. I exited out of the program, went to have dinner, came back and rebooted, and tried to open Studio 15,but it did open,but froze. I could not exit out,or move any buttons,so I rebooted again, It starts to load up,then about 83 %, the OPEN FILE/BROWSE white window shows what projects to open, but everything is blank,and the whole program freezes.
I can not Exit out, I have to do a Control - Alt - Delete, and end task the program.
I saw the 'Digital and Video cameras' forum, but thought this was a better fit.
For any of you that dabble with the Pinnacle / Avid Video editing software....I have Studio 15 HD Ultimate. I had some issues with accidentally deleting some files that help Studio open up it's program, so I performed a restore point and everything is fine...so far.
But basically, I downloaded this program from their site, after using the Trial 15 version,and when I get to Add/remove programs and try a repair, it's not there. Some CD installed programs repair tools work, but is this normal NOT to have repair utility work with all the programs?
This happened a few times, so I went to Control panel to see if I can do a REPAIR on this program. When I hit REPAIR, a window popped up telling me the Path> "C:\USER~1\AppData\Local\Temp\Studio\PinnacleStudio15.msi can not be found." I also got this,' Programs and Features > "Install source for this product is not available."
I had downloaded this program, back on October 2, 2011, First, with a trial to see if this 15 would work better than my v.14.but I ended up getting the key for the full version, so no, I do not have a hard disc copy, just wanted to know if I would need to install 15 all over again, (lose my projects unlessIi can temporarily move files until I fix it, IN ORDER TO DO A REPAIR.
