So my little sister needed me to do a video for her History Day project, and I said no problem.

First problem I ran into was not being able to tape the segment of West Side Story she needed from VHS to my camera. Then we go out and get the DVD and I rip/encode it in Xvid, and all is going well until I try to put it in my project. For some reason the audio won't work. It works fine when I play it in WMP though. It's getting late and this is due tomorrow, any ideas? I'm trying an avi to mpeg converter to see if that helps but I have a feeling that it's gonna have the company's website tagged all over the video.

Please help me! TIA.

Does your camera not have analog inputs? You can't copy the VHS to a mini-dv tape or use the pass through on the camera? What brand/model camera do you have?

Do you have any other video in line to your computer? Studio should be able to capture from any source.

I have also had problems using AVI's captured with other software (like Nero) in Studio a. Try and think of some way for Studio to capture it directly.

The conversion trick may work too. I just used the trial version of Fx Video Converter (I think that's what it's called - I'm not at home right now) to convert a video. I think it has a 30 day trial or something like that.
