Pinnacle Studio 10 very slow

When using Studio 10 my computer is terrivelemnte slow. I run the patch of Studio 10.05, but still it was worse. Most of the times I have to make CTRL+ALT+DEL because Studio simply stop. My HD is constantly working, still after i close Studio. Any operation that makes in the Studio i must wait some minutes.
What can i do?
Already I modified page file of windows for the minimum of 2GB, defrag my HD, reinstall Studio 10, but only improved slightly.

My computer:
MSI K8N NEO4 PLATINUM; AMD ATHLON 64 X2 3800+; HD WESTERN DIGITAL SATA 2 250GB; MSI 6600GT 128 MB; 1GB DDR 400 KINGSTON

The forums at Pinnaclesys would yield better results. Have you uninstalled it and reinstalled it with just adding that lastest fix (is this the beta fix that they were working on?) That usually cures a wierd issue. I use Avid Liquid 7, which Studio 10 is based on, and it is not slow (see Rigs.)

Sounds like a memory leak - I still use pinnacle 9 and it still have several memory leaks. Unfortunately there pinnacle has some of the worst quality software out there - it takes at least a year from release to become stable enough to use and they never bother to fix all the bugs.

A memory leak would not be slow from "go".

And watch for Pinnacle QA to change. Avid is now part of the release process. V10 was the last "Pinnacle" version.

Two things to do:

1) I forgot the exact name of the feature, but you need to disable the thingie that automatically renders changes each time you make them. It is set to on as default. I can look up the exact name later from home if you can't find it.

2) Don't add 3D transitions until the end if you are using a bunch of them. For instance, if you are doing a slide show with dozens of pictures add ONLY 2D (simple) transitions. When you have everything completed the way you want, go back in and replace some of the 2D transitions with 3D transitions as your very last step.

1 = Background render.

The funny thing is that in Liquid (the Studio 10 engine is based on it), it works well.
