pinless processors

A couple of months ago (or something like that), at one of the business reports (here or at tomshardware), there was a reference to a pinless processor using some sort of a bumpless technology. I forget exactly where it is. I searched, but the search yielded nothing. I need the article for a class. Could someone give me a reference please? To any article talking about this technology? Thats exactly what I think I mean. I don't know exactly what that stands for. I told my instructor I would bring the article with me today, but I am unable to locate anything of significance.

Awesome article...

Only sad part was...

While AMD has taken the performance crown from Intel on numerous occasions, AMD cannot compete with Intel's manufacturing capabilities. Intel actually has a branch whose sole purpose is to deal with packaging and the needs of tomorrow's processors. Intel has been talking about 1 billion transistors in a chip running at 10GHz+, so it's no surprise that they have 900 people working on packaging technologies

Would be nice if AMD could have this as well...
