Step1: Smoke a bowl
Step2: Put on Pink Floyd Echoes
Step3: Chill'ax
Repeat Step1 as often as necessary

For those not in the know chill'ax=chill and relax

I probably won't buy it. When I listen to pink floyd, I listen to whole albums not just individual songs.

Naw man, they re-did it so it flows like a completely new album. I was leary at first too, but it pretty much rocks.

<< i like Delicate Sound of Thunder myself. Really tight live versions of your fav PF songs. >>

Yep, that's a nice album, but I like PULSE for their live stuff. I was also hesitant about buying Echoes, but that only lasted for about 10 seconds. :)

I've enjoyed Pink Floyd for over 20 yrs now- still hard to imagine that one of my favorites (Comfortably Numb) was inspired by a trip to the Dentist.....

Really- just listen to the lyrics

WHAT!?! You can't be serious. That is one of my favorite songs by them as well. I would go listen to it right now, but I am in the middle of listenting to The Final Cut, and want to listen to the whole album all the way through.

Seriously- it's been several years since I heard that- but as I recall it may have been on MTV (back when MTV would actually have music)

Just got it in the mail yesterday. I bought it with the GC sent to me by my Secret Santa. Nice Compilation of their Greatest hits. From the Sid Barret Days on up. If you like Pink Floyd but don't have all their Albums like me this is a must

DDad: haha, that figures. :) I always think about Pink Floyd when I think of Monty Python and vise versa, they just seem to be equally eccentric, original, or something can't quite put my finger on it.

I'm sure some inspiration helps the listening of Floyd, but in my experience, listening to Floyd is it's own inspiration. There are few bands that are as unique as Pink Floyd and it was just recently that I even saw any pictures of the band members, shockingly.

Ummm...naw man. It's about herion. Haven't you ever seen the movie?
"You may feel a little sick..." -when you take too many opiates, you get hella nausious.
"When I was a child, I caught a fleeting glimpse.." - when he was a kid, he was sick and they gave him codeine or something. Then Sid Barret (the guy the song's about) started bootin' smack.
I'll add more later, but I gotta do xmas shopping
