Well i bought a new york city server few months ago to play q3 on because i pinged low 20s around 20 to 23 average well now im pining upper 50s low 60s on it and was wondering if there is anything my isp can do anything about. I live in western ny and all data going out rr isp leaves through syracuse which is ok but the problem instead of going to nyc like it used to it now goes to cleveland then to washington dc then to nyc and hits a bunch of hops there i think way more than it should. Im wondering if theres anything my isp can do about this or is just level 3 being ****** as usual. Heres the tracert

What you're asking for is complicated and requires adjustments to peering arrangements. Unless you have your own ASN and portable address space, you can forget about them doing anything serious. At best, they can examine your source IP and policy-route outbound traffic to a specific peer, but I can personally testify that they won't lift a finger for a guy only paying $100/month. :)

Good luck, and you didn't hear it from me. ;)
