Ping Pong Table dimensions

Since Menards (local hardware store) is having a 20% off sale until Sunday, I decided it's time to build a ping pong table. I know the table is 9'x5', but found that regulation dimensions have it at 2'6" off the ground. That seems really low to me.

Anyone know true ping pong table dimensions?

looks like it is 2 ft 6 in off the ground ...that seems about right to me. You can sneak into some place where they sell actual premade tables and measure what they use.

2'6" just seems really low.

Edit: Well now that I measured it off, it seems about right.
