pine acting funny until i resize

hi,

i login to a mail server and run pine. the bottom two lines that show the shortcuts are not there and when i try to view messages, its scrolls oddly. when i resize the window (putty) they appear and everything then works.

how i can i make it so that i dont have to resize it everytime i use it? is this a putty option or something i have to change in the login script?

thanks!

if you are logging in to a terminal before starting pine, you can try to enter:
eval `resize`
so anything that runs later (pine, vi, etc) will try to fit in your screen..

there could be something inside pine's settings to change the display
i have no clue since i havent used pine for a long time ....
