Pinacle is not burning my video project, there must be a program that will burn it as a dvd...

I am using Pinicle Studio 8 at school and it wont burn right, is there a program which would accept a .avi file or perhaps an .mpg and burn it as a dvd?

if you save as an mpeg, this works good
