Hitting 300MHz+ HTT might be difficult if your board isn't already an overclockable board with all the settings.
You're thinking of a "pencil trick" but that won't work. Those black lines represent a real electrical connection, which you have to do with wires or conductive ink, which can be a real pain to get right.

Good luck on your overclocking adventures. I had an AM2 Sempron 2600+ that ran briefly on 1.6v and 360-370Mhz HTT. I say "briefly" because the motherboard died.
