My post keeps popping up. I stand by my statements and still don't understand why someone at the airport couldn't take control of the situation and let the passengers out.

I for one applaud Skoorb for his bravery in doing the right thing. This kind of behavior and self-defeatism only emboldens the nation's enemies. I have also followed Skoorb's lead and reported this myself.

People are a bit too sensitive to waiting on a plane. Yes, for a while, you couldn't even get out of your seat to go to the bathroom while waiting and THAT was a problem. But sitting there for 6 hours? Call the Whaaaaambulance. Just last month as I was to fly from Washington to Johannesburg (a 18 hour flight I might add), my 98% full plane sat on the runway for over 4 hours. Making us stay on that plane for a total of 22 hours. It really isn't that bad since you can walk around, use the toilet, etc on the plane. TSA even allows the plane to give people snacks and drinks while waiting - a thing they couldn't do just a few years ago.

WTF do you mean TSA allows the crew giving snacks out on the plane while waiting? TSA has not jack shit to do with the crew serving water and snacks.

last week i was stuck on on the taxiway at JKF to Denver because a stupid super-cell decided to park its self right over JFK. when we were finally able to take off it we were number 32 in line. a 4.5 hour flight turned into a 8 hour flight. was i pissed? sure but that's Mother Nature for you.

the crap these passengers went through was over the top and totally unnecessary.
