i would reccomend depo. im on nuvaring right now which is a little weird... its umm... inserted and left there for 3 weeks, then taken out for a week while you bleed. im trying to get back on depo though, it leaves you so little to worry about and is very effective. and no periods. goddd so good. except when she decides to stop, it will bleed FOREVER.
"it", lol..

Doesen't depo usually make you gain like 15lbs though?

all birth control will make you gain weight if you have unhealthy eating habits or a weight problem to begin with. i have never gained weight from birth control.. it has made my friends boobs get bigger, but sadly i missed out on that side effect too.

Lola lost weight, as well...

My gf has not gained any weight while on the pill and her boobs have grown slightly.

never heard a girl getting pregnant from doing itb....w/ that in mind, it's a wonder why more girls won't let you do it there...:disgust:

I've been on the pill for 7 years, and it works great. I'd be worried about the patch falling off or being defective, and I don't want anyone implanting anything in my arm.

Get the shot. Costs the same as the pill, but you only do it once ever quarter. Much more convenient, and no forgetting.

I've heard way too many horror stories about Depo to recommend it. Does the word 'drizzle' strike fear into your heart? It should, she may insist you buy all the replacement panties. Then again, women always seem to be leakin something right? Heh.

The pill is great, and now they have a new one that function like Depo Provera, allowing them to only 'drop eggs' once every 3 months.

If kids are desired, get a vasectomie. Saves money in the long run, and you have nothing to worry about. Depending on the kind of procedure, it can be reversed as well.

Pill is too easy to mess up on (forget one day, rest of the month is blown.) Implant caused some deep scaring in my arm, don't know if I would do it again, I might (no periods was great.) Depo shots were awesome, four a year and I didn't have to think about it (no periods either.) Never used the patch, but I think it might be a good alternative for women who don't like shots.

I have heard that some women can have a period of infertility after going off the pill. I got pregnant within a month or so of having my Norplants removed, and not terribly long after going off of Depo. I repeat, no periods rock.
If you forget 1 day, a week is blown, not the whole month.

At last, according to the pills my girlfriend is currently taking.

according to my g/f's pills, if she forgets a day, she just takes it as soon as she remembers and she's fine. don't remember what kind she's taking, though. her dr. perscribed it because when she got her period, she was basically in bed for 3 days. really makes me glad I'm a guy and don't have to deal with it.

on another note, I still haven't decided if I trust birth control. the thought of her getting pregnant scares the **** out of me.

i think its semi-common for people to have skin reactions to the patch. some bodys dont like have stickers stuck in one place for a week at a time.

So long as it's used right, it's nearly perfect. My health teacher would bet his family on it 😛 But if you're really paranoid, just wrap it up too. Granted, it'll kinda suck and defeat the purpose of the pill.... but you reduce chances yet again.
