PIII Xeon 700 1Mb

I will soon be getting my hands on a compaq prolient server (ML570R01). How fast should a seti unit be processed? Either graphical or command line? Spec is; PIII 700 Xeon 1Mb, 1Gb memory, 100+ Gb Scsi 2.

Cheers Guys, I will let you know when it is up and running and when I can steel some time for seti. The reason for only one CPU is that this will be mainly a data transfer buffer between a semiconductor pre-test fab floor and an old VAX system which processes the mojority of the SPC data. We are planning to move to a HP UNIX by the end of next year, but there is a lot of code to be written before then.

I have two dual proc ML530s, they are the same spec, (save they have two processors) they do WUs in 3.5hrs on avarage (each proc)

Thats too cool. Congrats on the new hardware dude. Your going to love that setup. We have to replace our main server also: Currently running on a Pentium class cpu, with the upgrade to a configuration identical to the ML570. That onboard cache is going to really help those wu's!
