Just came into a possesion of an Abit SE6 MB with a PIII 1ghz on it. The problem is that there is no CPU fan on it. It's going to be a backup system and won't be overclocked so I'm not all that worried about getting a great cooling solution but I would like something decent. Anyone recommend a good cheap HS/Fan combo for this and where I might buy it?

Thanks!

A 1GHz P3 puts out under 30W of heat, so you don't need anything too fancy. You could post a WTB thread over in the For Sale/Trade forum and I'm sure a lot of people would offer you great buys on retail Intel (or AMD) fan/heatsink units for under $10 shipped, just to get rid of them.

A Golden Orb by thermaltake will do the job without much noise. This isn't the best cooler in the land, but will do the job if you aren't OCing and isn't too expensive--kinda spiffy looking too:p. Good friend has dual PIII 700@933 with G-orbs with no probs at all.
