Can someone please tell me if my piii 800 showing in bios as runnin at 140 to hundred 150 dgrees farhenheit is normal for this chip!Could this just be an error reading from bios.I know the maximun temp that this chip can run is alot higher but seems a little high to me.Is this normal range of cpu temp during gamming? The external probe i have inserted into heatsink shows 82 degrees at idle, then about 99 during gamming!!! Is this a proper reading?I just have to know!!Please tell me!!Can anyone help me,lol

i doubt your cpu core is 150f. its probably closer to the reading your getting from the probe on the heatsink (although the reading off the heatsink is going to be less than the actual core temperature). if your not having system stability issues under load, you may have a faulty thermal sensor on the cpu also. my friend expirences "150c" temperature with his celeron 733, probably a bad sensor on his also.
