A local shop has a PIII 700 cCo stepping ... week 34, I think. (OEM for $210)

He also has a week 21 PIII 700 cBo stepping (Boxed retail for $240)

Any experience or information re: overclockability of the cCo vs the cBo?

He is holding them for me for 24 hrs.

Thanks. Ken

Too early to tell. Overclockers.com did a quick test on a cC0 800, and they got it to 1040. If you can return the chip, i'd probably try out the cC0, though.

From what i read, cC0 stepping has better yields, ask p3 sellers on FS forums like bonkers, although i've never had a cC0, it is supposedly supposed to have better yields. Also, the cC0 is cheaper for you anyways... just my dos pesos... or would it be centavos?

cC0 will be your best opportunity, although there are no guarantees. Currently, 60% of the 700E I am testing make it at reasonable voltage.
Here is my latest 10:
FPO#Q030A017 S Spec SL45Y (cB0) Pack Date 09/04/00 Malay
2 are will not overclock to 933MHz; voltage of 1.9 tried.
2 will overclock to 933MHz, requiring 1.85v
6 did 933MHz @ 1.75v max

I am optimistic about the new cC0 stepping, although I will not be able to get any until next Wed. :)
