I just ahve a quick question, does anyone know how these two processors direclty stack up against each other, or know of any benchmarks for the two?

thanks

Check some of Anands CPU articles, probably one for the Duron 700/800MHz. I think they show overclocked 566@850 CII processors. That ought to give you some idea. My guess? In games they are going to be very close, in bussiness apps, the Celeron will win hands down.

zakkenay0,
I would say they will be very equal in playing games, but I'd have to disagree with Killrose about the business apps. The PII 677 should perform better, because of the 256k of L2 cache and it is also running on the 133 FSB.

problem is FSB of 100 severly degrades memory intensive apps. I went from a celeron @ 850 to a p3-667 and its much snappier in every day usage.
