PII to Celeron (fsb question)

I want to swap out my PII 350 and add a celeron through a socket adapter. And i wanted to know if the celeron can run on 100mhz fsb, my mobo can only go up to 550 and switch only between 66 and 100 mhz fsb, so i want to get 550mhz out of the celeron, will this work?

It should work if you buy a celeron with a good slot adaptor that is guranteed to work at the 100mhz frontside bus. I have seen these offered used for $60-$70 price range for lets say a PPGA 366@550mhz with a decent sloket. This would out perform your 350mhz which I think you should be able to sell for $40-$45. Do a search of the forsale/trade forum, there were a few of these advertized recently.

I have an IBM made computer, supposedly i read the mobo was made by acer. I should get a 366? and oc to 550? i found a adapter by intel from slot1 to socket 370 for like $11. I also found a slot1 cele366, will that work? and be able to oc to 550? i ask this because supposedly P2 clock multipliers are locked and if so it shouldnt work, only the fsb can be changed (mine only 66mhz or 100mhz)

dunno what to do, so any advise will do

Have one more question. Will only the 366 work, because i can get a 400celeron for free. But i'm wondering if the 400 will run at 600 or whatever, because my motherboard jumpers only goto 5.5. I wanted to know if the 400 would only run 550 or will it still run at 600 if i set the fsb to 100mhz.
