Pigs Feet Does any one cook them?

I tried a recipe from an old book of Chinese-American food.

"Red Cooked Pig Feet"

It turned out to be surprisingly good.

Any one else cook these?

What about ears and tails etc.

Pigs are really intelligent ... after I found out how smart & affectionate they are, can't bring myself to eat any. I REALLY miss bacon 🙁

I've made Keller's Trotters with Sauce Gribiche from the Bouchon cookbook, but that's not really all that traditional. Sure as hell was delicious though and super fun to make! :awe:

It runs in the family cooking around here.
I am not too into it, just have a small serving to keep the family spirit alive.

Oxtail soup however, is a different story. Good stuff!

good stuff. too greasy though; rarely eat it anymore.

ear slow cooked is pretty good. tail is gross. actually they are both gross :|

The amount of prep work needed makes them a total pain in the ass to cook. I just go to restaurants when I feel like eating it.

i had pigs feet for the first time at a brasserie, a big plate and most of it was pigs feet. it was pretty damn good, but I was getting tired of the same taste all the time since there was little else in the plate. pretty good with a beer though.
