lol, I love how the train stops, the doors open, and the pigeon is the only one to exit as the doors close behind him. He just strolls out casually as if he takes the subway everyday.

LMAO that is hilarious. He's so casual too. That is too awesome.

If it were America someone probably would have tried to kill it.

Given it's in Toronto, I'm willing to bet the pigeon is the cleanest thing on that train. ^_^

Why do people capture videos in portrait mode?

Because it fits the content? In this case it makes for a better video than landscape would. The vertical polls, the narrow car everything suggests the use of portrait. It's basic photography.

Wasn't it the stray dogs in Russia that was taking the trains? Maybe the pigeon saw that article.

ummm, they have much better public transportion/subways in other countries...how is it lazy?

Because it could have easily flown where it wanted to go, and gotten there quicker. It's the same mindset that makes people get in their cars, and drive 1/2 mile up the road.

Because most subways in the US aren't real subways, but commuter rails? NYC is certainly an exception, but metro lines are designed so you can walk to the next station if you really wanted to. That's a true subway. Ask the LA Metro why their stations are 5 miles apart. This is is why you need a car to get around in the US.

I think lsxskllr was talking about people who get in the car to drive short distances in general though, not in regards to the subways.

On top of that it was just a poor joke to start with. Americans are lazy sacks of shit, but I didn't intend to get into a discussion of the merits of various public transportation systems :^D
