I have literally no experience with piezoelectric devices other than playing with one specific motor for a few minutes after buying it last week. I was wondering if anyone here might have any idea what kind of dependence the quartz crystal oscillation frequency has on the applied voltage? Does the frequency increase linearly/quadratically/exponentially as the voltage is increased? Any help or references would be appreciated. Thanks!

Only ones I've used were linear motors. They ran at 500volts. The frequency determined the speed, and a single step was like 8 angstroms. Pretty neat how they worked though. Two piezo"clamps" around a shaft and a piezo piece that connected the clamps. Close one clamp activate the piece between then close second clamp open first one and deactivate the one in between. Instant linear motion.
