seems like a stupid question, but i have an interview at a firm who largely deals with piezoelectric ceramics and ive never actually heard the word spoken. i know my stuff in this area but i dont want to sound like a tool and say it wrong...
anyway, ive always read it as pie-zo-electric, as in the word "pie", then "zo" as in zoologist, and of course electic.
an alternate way i thought it may be pronounced is pee-zo-electric, "pee" as in a toddler saying pee-pee, and the rest is the same.
any thoughts?
make fun of me at will...i fully expect and deserve it for asking this question.
got it - its "pee-eh-zo"
thanks everyone! ill let you know how the interview went in about 3 hours...so nervous
