Connery is the best with Brosnan as no 2, they need to wait till a young 30's age english accent actor comes along.

How about Jude Law or the guy that played the bad guy in MI2 (I forget his name).

Cheers,

<< my fav. bond was George Lazenby in o.h.s.s.(i appr.ed 'cause i can't spell) >>

On Her Majesty's Secret Service is my fav Bond film. Connery is the best, followed by Brosnan, then Lazenby. Roger Moore sucks, and Timothy Dalton was OK but just TOO DAMN SERIOUS.

I am old enough to remember Barry Nelson as James Bond in a live broadcast of "Casino Royale" on "Climax Mystery Theater" in 1954. He didn't have a British accent, but he was good. And (in character as Bond) he did a commercial for Maxwell House Coffee.

<< George Clooney could pull it off. >>

George Clooney? He would *suck* as James Bond. Might as well be Bob Saget or Carrot Top.

<< Any of you old folk ever watch Remington Steele? >>

Watched it before it was in reruns.

Saw all the James Bond movies starring Sean Connery in the movies when they were new. He is still my favourite James Bond, and I still liked him in "The Hunt for Red October".

He would do a hell of a lot better than that gay Pierce Brosnan.

James Bond is supposed to be confident, classy, daring, and charming (in a MASCULINE way)...not snobbish, unrealistically lucky, and PRISSY.

The sooner the 007 producers realize this, the sooner the character might be saved. As it is, I'm waiting for them to cast Leonardo Dicaprio next.

Leo might make a good "Bond girl" for Rupert Everett, though. ;)

I kinda like Pierce Brosnan as 007. I hope they don't replace him, it's better when one actor plays the role for many movies.

But if they had to replace him, I agree that Hugh Jackman would be a good choice. Mel Gibson and George Clooney would suck. Why not Arnold Schwartzenegger? ;)

Shit! There goes my chance again and again. BTW Pierce did a pretty good job but its who is acting opposite(gender) him and whispering sweet secrets into his ears, data downloading thru the lips, falling into his arms and jumping into bed that made me boils...oh! why not me?

I think Brosnan is much better than Dalton or Lazenby, and I actully think Roger Moore was the worst of the bunch. The Moore movies look horribly dated now, and he has the most annoying smugness and smarminess. Connery was definitely the best IMO, though the later movies also look pretty dated.

I could actually see Clive Owen (aka The Driver from the BMW Films) as Bond.

Actually Roger Moore was my favorite Bond actor. Though Connery is a VERY close second.
Mind you, Brosnan has been a pretty good Bond so far.
