Cake is delicious but pie is so much more versatile. It's entirely possible to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner by eating only pies. Quiche, meat pie, pork pie, maybe a cherry pie.

However, in the interest of diplomacy, may I suggest a compromise between these two warring factions.
