pidgin themes, specifically with screenlets?

I'm trying to get something, anything, that can let me use pidgin on the desktop, so that it can mingle with other gadgets and not look like and be treated as a program window.

Anyway to pin Pidgin to the desktop somehow? Or a specific gadget that can function like the client, not just display the buddy list?

I've been seeing Screenlets thrown around a lot, and a lot of nice themes are for pidgin screenlet. But, screenlets is a Linux thing...

Id be interested in anything you can turn up here. I'd love to free up some of the space on my secondary monitor and your idea seems like a good way to do it. Keep us posted!
