Pictures won't load in IE

My laptop is about 5 days old and recetnly it has started to give me problems while surfing the internet. I was looking at cars on Ebaymotors and IE would not load any of the pictures on the page. It said in the lower corner of the screen that it has ** number of items to load but they never came up.

I waited several minutes and still nothing loaded. The program had not frozen it just would no display pictures. Even when I right clicked on the boxes and clicked show picture they still failed to appear. I was navigating the internet through a D-link wireless router. I read somewhere that the router may have something to do with it but I am not certain of this.

Any help would be great.

P.S. I am currently running windows XP home.
 
Have you tried clearing out your cache (all cookies and stuff) and reset your IE settings under Tools to default? (There is a setting for "Show Pictures")

Oh - did you change any settings on your router?
