Pictures PReview on WinXP?!

Hey there.
I've recentaly moved to WinXP and having some problems with it.
I have ACDsee installed as my default images viewer but even so WinXP insists that when I'm double clicking on a images type of file it open the WinXP preview instead of the ACDsee.. if I right click on an image in a folder I can see 'Preview' highlighted and only then 'Open'.. only if I right click on it and choose open it opens it with ACDsee..
Finally, my question is: how can I disable this WinXP images previewer? or (better), how can I make the image open with ACDsee when double clicking on it?

any help is appreciated, thanks!

or go to folder options in the folder view (under tools) -> File Types tab -> find the extensions you use (jpg, bmp, whatever) and change what it opens with.
