I was uploading these to show a friend, thought I'd share them.

The second story by the balcony is a loft that extends from the back to the middle of the building, and the front half is open all the way from the floor to the ceiling. There's enough room to put lifts for two cars in there. It's also wired with cat 5, plumbing, and heated by some really expensive wood stove that my dad really likes.
 
You know...if you hadn't put that caption on pic #2 I'd have never guessed what that blue and white stuff was above the house.

If I had something like that, I'd set up a woodworking shop and a car repair shop, never ever to be seen in the house again.

 
WTF? first i thought the garage was that shed thing... and i was thinking, that's not that great. doesn't even look like a 2 car garage. then i realized the thing i thought was your house is really the garage. geezus..that's my dream garage right there.. congrats to your dad

same here...very nice garage! wow...others would build a woodshop in there, or fill it with tools...I'd take that isolated structure and make it a HT. 😀 (Granted, it'd be nice to have a place to work on the car too...)

My dad's not a car guy, the bottom is going to be for woodworking and furniture building, and the loft is going to be an art studio for my mom to paint and stuff in.
