You suck at resizing pictures to a normal size for the web.

What size are they? 1600x1200. Stop your whining thats what res. I had my camera set on, it goes down to 640x480 after that. I can't do 1024x768 or 800x600 in the camera. So you take what you can get. They display fine on my 2005FPW. And pics.bbzzdd is fast enough for them.

Most people do not display web pages in 1600x1200.

A good size for pictures would be around 800x600. Who cares what you can or can't do in the camera - resize them on your computer like a normal person.

Sure..I could post full size from my camera. Why don't I? Because they wouldn't even fit on your 2005FPW.

Mine wouldnt fit either full sized. I chose 1600x1200 because it was the next to the smallest option. 640x480 was too small. I resized the pictures in my FS thead however. Happy?

For this thread and the other I didn't feel like it. You are the only person who has complained. The pictures should resize themselves in your browser to fit your monitor anyway.

No, pictures should not resize themselves. That's a stupid option which I disable. Usually when a picture is that large there is a good reason for it being that large and I don't want it resized.

I'm not complaining, just pointing out that you suck at resizing.

I don't suck at resizing. I didn't resize them. I didn't want to, stop posting.

No.

i didnt know the 4805's were so popular, though 😛

HOLY MOTHER OF ANGLED PROJECTORS BATMAN! LOl, got enough tilt on that thing. Your keystone must be horrible, lol. I hate how it projects it up so high, i have a ceiling mount for my other room though.

Nics posters BTW!

yeah, i hate having it angled so much, but the way my room is, that is the only way that i could have it set up. it doesnt look to horriable, the keystone is set at 9 😱

LOL! If you can spring for it a ceiling mount would be nice.

jebus. You must be cutting off major portions of the resolution then.

Have you tried flipping it upside down?

i thought about that, but because my walls are angled when they meet the ceiling, i can get about another foot of distanct from the screen mounting it where its at.

The image gets smaller with more keystoning though. How big is your screen and what distance is your 4805 at / how far would it be if you ceiling mounted it?

my screen is 100", and i have the projector about 12'6" away right now. if i ceiling mounted it, the distance would drop down to a little under 11'

Your screen would probally stay the same size seeing as you could fix the keystone then. Probally close enough anyway.

whoops, what i meant to say it that its about 12'6" away right now, but if i ceiling mounted it, the distance would drop down to just under 12', not 11'.

Well then your screen size would probally actually be the same then if you celing mounted it after you fixed the keystone

OP, Might want to consider your arrangement as it seems that you won't have much room for additions in the future..

?

I am moving this stuff to another room in the future anyway. Not sure what you are getting at.

A 12' throw could get you up to 94"

12' 6" is a max of 97" according to this

http://www.projectorcentral.com/InFocus...lay_4805-projection-calculator-pro.htm

I imagine with that much keystone happening you're either not actually at 100" or your projector is farther back than you think.

im actually no where near 100". when im in 16:9, i get a screen size of about 86". i didnt know that keystone made that big of a differance. :Q

yoyo: i just realized what you meant earlier when you asked how big my screen was. for some reason, i thought you meant how big was the screen im projecting on. this whole day has been like that 😕

The figures I gave was with zoom all the way turned up too. If you're zooned up as high as you can go and are only getting 86" at that distance, a significant portion of the DLP chip isn't being used reducing your res.

Have you tried flipping it upside down? You'll have to tilt the projector up then probably, but I bet the keystone wont be as bad.
