hi there
thanks for the reply. yeah, the fish tank is great. alot of people who visit just say 'what the..' the main reason i went with the ocz was to run 1:1 ddr510, my other memory (hyperx/twinx) just werent cutting it.

as for the speakers, i plan to move them back down to the desktop. i am actually selling some other components along with that beastly monitor to get the samsung 191t (silver). then i will probably put them next to the lcd. you think thats safe? im also thinking of getting a sound card. the ic7-g onboard isn't cutting it. before this i had an nf7-s 2.0 and was very happy. im thinking of upgrading to an mx duo kb/mouse, but only if i can sell the elite duo.

constantly upgrading never settling

i have a 21 inch crt myself and i cant wait to save up enough $ to get a noce 17 or 18 inch LCD, esp since it goes back and fourth from my dorm a lot. the mx elite duo is a great chioce IMO. i like the sound on my NF7-s but i got a TB santa cruz anyway

hey shady

how do you feel about the m-audio revolution 7.1. ive heard alot of mixed reviews, like its not good for gaming, but excellent for movies, etc. one of my friends told me about it, thought it might be worth looking into, despite the large price tag. well, larger compared to the santa cruz.

yes yes more mods more mods! hehe. i will mod each individual fish to glow and have mini displays on their bellies to show the water's temperature. then i will add little sharks with frikkin laser beams attached to their heads. hehe i actually like my case the way it is, im not sure what else to mod. but once on some hardware mod site i saw a guy totally change up his lian-li front bezel with custom buttons, etc. it was very sweet. i do have 2 open 3.5 bays, maybe i could do something there. :)
thanks for viewing the fish bowl

personally, i have a TB santa cruz and i am very happy with it but if i had money to spare, i would go m-audio all the way

EDIT: compusa has m-audios on sale once in a while for 100-30MIR = $70

I think the aquarium window is one of the only windows I ever consider really cool. Nicely done! Do you have a link to the mobile racks? They'd sure come in handy for me.

thanks, and here you go:

directron
mwave: sku # AA18570

the mwave racks are the 421's and the directrons are 321's. i would go with the mwave ones. cheaper, and i think the difference is in their favor. enjoy!

That case is cool! I have a question...what do you mean by custom cd-rw and custom floppy? They look stock to me.

hi there cartman,

they were dyed using silver vinyl dye to match the case. The floppy door and button were vinyl dyed as well, but on top of that, the lian-li stick-on was used. therefore you dont have the tacky look of the lian-li stick-on bezel with cream colored doors and buttons. hope this helps. you can buy dye at any hardware store or autozone.

hi cainsdive-

btw, i like the name of your systemrig "the other woman".. thats great. made me laugh! the side panel i bought and put together myself, took less than 15 minutes. it would have taken less time if i had a funnel to use to pour the water in. the side panel is made by lian-li, and i purchased it from excaliberpc.com. the one thing i had issues with is that there's an air tube that runs from a pump inside the case to the outside and into the panel. i think you can see it in the picture. a pci slot cover they provide you is supposed to have 2 things:

1) the switch to turn on the cathode light
2) a hole for the air tube to pass through.

im not sure if it was a mistake, but mine only had the switch, and not the hole. a friend of mine took one of the existing lian-li pci slot covers and drilled a hole, but it came out a little messy, so he then found an old ps/2 mouse pci slot cover, removed the port and it worked out perfectly. it is definitely a fun addition to your pc, but the downer is that its only for lian-li cases, pc60 and 6010 i believe.

the mounting is relatively clean, you can't even see the air pump or other connectors as they are hidden by the little blue rocks inside the panel. noise is not a problem either as the air pump has little rubber feet to prevent vibration against the case. the only thing i hear from my case is the hum of the 3 case fans and the tmd on the cpu. haha, like 3dgameman would say "a KICKASS product". hah.

hope this helps. you may want to check out the lian-li pc6010, a picture can be found here.

i think it is a nice little combo unit, although some of my friends may disagree with the little "V" design on the front, i dont think its too bad.
