hi cainsdive-
btw, i like the name of your systemrig "the other woman".. thats great. made me laugh! the side panel i bought and put together myself, took less than 15 minutes. it would have taken less time if i had a funnel to use to pour the water in. the side panel is made by lian-li, and i purchased it from
excaliberpc.com. the one thing i had issues with is that there's an air tube that runs from a pump inside the case to the outside and into the panel. i think you can see it in the picture. a pci slot cover they provide you is supposed to have 2 things:
1) the switch to turn on the cathode light
2) a hole for the air tube to pass through.
im not sure if it was a mistake, but mine only had the switch, and not the hole. a friend of mine took one of the existing lian-li pci slot covers and drilled a hole, but it came out a little messy, so he then found an old ps/2 mouse pci slot cover, removed the port and it worked out perfectly. it is definitely a fun addition to your pc, but the downer is that its only for lian-li cases, pc60 and 6010 i believe.
the mounting is relatively clean, you can't even see the air pump or other connectors as they are hidden by the little blue rocks inside the panel. noise is not a problem either as the air pump has little rubber feet to prevent vibration against the case. the only thing i hear from my case is the hum of the 3 case fans and the tmd on the cpu. haha, like 3dgameman would say "a KICKASS product". hah.
hope this helps. you may want to check out the lian-li pc6010, a picture can be found
here.
i think it is a nice little combo unit, although some of my friends may disagree with the little "V" design on the front, i dont think its
too bad.
