I took a few pictures of my room mainly because of the new audio equipment I have :D

System - The entire system, that's a 50" Mitsubishi screen, camera didn't capture it very well since I didn't bother to take out a tripod
Receiver - Harman Kardon AVR 335
Speakers - Two Paradigm Studio 60's
Subwoofer - SVS 25-31 PC+ (both port plugs installed so it should be hitting 16Hz)

Here are two other pictures of the room as a whole: 1 & 2

We finished the basement on our own and so the trim still isn't done completely and the wiring still needs some finishing touches but that's the main idea. This was mainly setup for music and so the Paradigm's are in the ideal location after lots of time of playing around with their location, I don't really need a subwoofer for most music other than rap, techno, and some of those really low pipe organs. Most visitors on the floor above ask me what kind of subwoofer I'm running it off of, then I tell them I'm running it without the subwoofer ;)

Movies aren't bad but it's definitely not the experience it's meant to be, but when a center channel is going to cost you $600-$800 alone you naturally think twice, heh, eventually I'll get that, but I've dropped a small fortune on this already and will leave it at that for now.

Much thanks to YOyoYOhowsDAjello for his audio advice throughout this whole process  :)

Since it would be in the basement I'm thinking we wouldn't have any issue with the neighbors, you got the ? ;)

I'm a huge fan of the studio series. When I get the budget for it thats where I'll be - 60's or 100's.

As of now I'm "stuck" with the monitor series, but it still blows away many (most?) other HT setups out there.

Great choice on the speakers, and make sure to fill it in with a timbre matched center channel.

cheers

Yup, I'll be sticking with the matching center channel, just have to figure out when I want to get that since I have another priority right now, but it's something I definitely want.

The monitors aren't bad at all to be honest and depending on the rest of your setup, you might want to get the video portion to your liking before making the move to the studio series since the monitors are pretty good themselves.

Yeah, works, doesn't seem to be filled with lots of bass or anything, is it hitting really low frequencies or something? How is it supposed to "wake up" my subwoofer? :p
