Pictures not showing up in IE5.0

No picture shows up when I use IE5.0 web browser. For instance, no logos show up, and instead the mark for an invalid pic comes up. Any way to fix this?

It usually means a bad link on the part of the webmaster, but if it's not, after a refresh, or ctrl + refresh, it fixes it for me.

Go to "Tools->Internet Options->Advanced" and under Multimedia watch if "Show pictures" is checked.

i think it could be a directX problem ....it happened to me once and it was because of this..were you trying to remove dx or reinstall dx?...some video card compatibility problems creep in because of this....I think you should try reinstalling your video card drivers or dx....for more help check out microsoft's internet explorer newsgroup.....
