The rock there looks really rough and jagged so t would probably not be tough to get good grib.......even with sandals. He's even hot his tripod and gear in one arm. :)

I've done a couple of those before in my life. Just this spring I was out at Arches National Park, climbing something or another to get a vantage point, and I eventually found myself hugged up against a vertical wall that I needed to scramble horizontally across to get to another ledge. I had my 20lb camera bag against my hip and tripod slung across my shoulder, and I had no more footholds or handholds within reaching distance, and a pretty nasty fall at the bottom. At one point I was guaging whether releasing my grip would kill me, and after estimating that it would, I just more or less lept for a handhold. Good thing I got it :)

It's all about teh pictars!

Heh I think I've actually been to that exact location, or else one that looks very similar. It's on the north rim, maybe a mile up from the lodge on the west side.
