Just found these guys on my hard drive. All of these were taken from the front porch of our cabin near our house in WV.

damn you guys live in the goonies

I prefer to call it B.F.E.

actually it is about 2 miles away from anything that could be called civilization.

No one lives there permanently, just a weekend getaway.

Kinda looks like our ranch..well, not really..bigger house, more heavily wooded, more mountains, and about 25 miles away from small towns.

Looks similar to my Father-in-law's place in Montrose, WV. Very beautiful, I'd move out there in a second if I could find a job, which is why most people out there are on welfare, at least in Barbour county anyway.

yeah wv is plagued by that, hence the reason why i'm leaving as soon as i graduate college.

You know where Richwood is? Bumfvck nowhere! I spent a weekend there once... Heh. Lame as hell.

GREAT state for driving around aimlessly, though. Thing is, you stand a chance at never seeing civilization again if you get lost.

WV rules... 'cept for the fact that I nor any of my immediate family could find decent jobs. Beautiful country...

What is a cabin used for and why is it near your house?

We use it as a hunting cabin. We own about 700 acres surrounding it.

haha there's no way that movie was filmed in wv. mainly because the woods doesn't look anything like that in the film. however, i have seen some people that i kinda do a double take on (mainly the southern part of the state, haha)
