Here is a pretty neat set of pictures from Life magazine of the Chevrolet assembly line in 1959.

I kind of wish they were in higher resolution, but still kind of an interesting slice of life.

no. nothing has any intelligence. its just a machine that a person moves around and pushes buttons to make it do things. ( like spot weld or cut)

a robot has a control system that needs no human interaction to work.
