hey, nothing of the shuttle itself on the pad as it was lifting off?
My favorite part of watching is the actual liftoff, and following as that big ass thing shoots itself fast enough to escape. But the initial launch is just awesome!

Thats the one thing about launch photos. Sure, they look cool, but video is just insane.

yeap i watched it on NASA channel just wish they were HD.

i started watching 4 hours before the liftoff. its great watching everything they do before it goes. gotta feel for them sitting in there all those hours before launch.

unfortunately i was not one of the people who were able to purchase tickets to watch from the causeway... they sold out in less than 2 minutes.
