My current max res is 1680x1050 and I was wondering if I change to 1920x1200 would there be a good deal of better picture quality. Graphics card is not an issue. Just wondering about the quality. I know that the 1920x1200 can to 1080i and things like that but besides that would there be a good increase?

Depends on your use really...

If you are a graphic artist sure, though in my personal opinion, I prefer NEC's professional line better than Samsung's for imaging work.

If you are going in for gaming, then sure, you might be able to tell the difference. This is really a subjective thing though. It all depends on how good your eyes are. I would suggest comparing two side-by-side if possible. Personally, I don't see much difference between the two... And if you are considering gaming, then video card may indeed a factor, as even two 8800 Ultra's in SLI can't run every game maxed out at those resolutions.

It really all just depends on your intended use...

Yes - games will look significantly better because there will be more pixels to interpolate across.
