I've got a huge problem.

I've got my PC connected to the HDTV via HDMI.

Comcast Cable box connected via HDMI and Analog.

I'm trying to watch TV and have the PC HDMI in PIP mode.

However, I can only get the PIP to display the Air/Cable input. Meaning no matter which HDMI input I'm in, HDMI DVR or HDMI PC I can only get analog TV to show up.

How do I watch HDMI TV and get HDMI PC in PIP?

I need HDMI in my PIP!

The manual says the PIP(sub picture) can be analog tv broadcasts only.

Am I screwed? Or can I find a tuner with HDMI broadcasts as well as analog?

It sounds like you're screwed. If the manual says the sub-picture is analog TV broadcast (NTSC tuner) only then that is what you get.

I also congratulate you for reading the manual.

Very few HDTVs support PIP (digital-digital). Most of them give you the option of digital and tuner, that's it. Even the Pioneer Elite 151 ($6500 display) will only do digital-tuner with PIP. You'll have to step up to the Elite 141 ($7000 display) to do digital-digital PIP.

You can't do it on 650...You'll need the 750 series to do digital PIP....(it is a known issue, look on AVS forums). Also watch out for garbled text with PCs on the 650 series (that's why i returned mine for a 750)....

Your Samsung has an RGB input, right?

Hook up your PC with an RGB cable; that should PIP in fine over the HDMI. Sceptre 46" is the same way. Can't really notice the difference between HDMI and RGB, even running 1920x1080, on a 7600GS.

Use a good quality, short RGB cable.

the problem is not the cable or input but the PIP cannot do digital only analog.

RGB is analog.

Like I said, I was in a similar situation with a Sceptre 46"; it couldn't PIP the HDMI input from the PC over the HDMI input from the DirecTV.

It was solved by hooking up the RGB input from the PC.

Now, the PC can be PIPed over the DirecTV screen, as well as the reverse.

It is _extremely_ rare to find an HDTV that can do PiP using all inputs for both pictures. I think Olevia or Vizio made one that was in the $2000 range, but that's the cheapest I can think of. To be fair, we're talking about some serious processing here - if you were to PiP a pair of 720p or 1080p HDMI sources, that would be some insane processing that the TV's video chipset would need to handle.

What kind of adapter/connection did you connect yours by. Are we talking about VGA or RGB cords? Did you have a DVI adapter?

Please list model #'s of your cables so I can buy em.
