My favorite professional sport in the entire world is baseball. However, living in Portland, all I get is the crappy Portland Beavers minor league team. Even though they're the minor league team for the Twins who've won the world series, we still have a really really shiotty ballpark (before it was rebuilt) and an almost-respectable ball park after it was rebuilt.

However, comma space, since I'm in glorious PITTSBURGH, I'm going to a game. A major league game. Fvcking sweet. My second major league game of my favorite sport. The first was YEARS ago back before the concrete tomb called the Tacoma Dome was still standing. Awesome. How the hell could I forget where the hell I was and NOT somehow schedule in a game while I'm here? Jeez man somebody slap me silly and call me Susan.

Tonight, the Pirates host the San Francisco Giants.

Hell fvcking yes.

We got Infield Box Seats, Section 115, Row P, seats 3, 4, and 5.

Click here to see the park. If you scroll down on that page and click the ballpark layout, you'll see this page where you can see section 115. What you will also notice is that the view from section 115 is directly across from the opening at center field so I'll have a great view of the city (or so I'm told). I'm *so* going to fill up my 512MB memory stick with my digicam and waste so many batteries tonight. :D

We leave in less than 10 minutes. I can't wait!

Sweet, Portland needs to get a MLB team. Too bad our Mayor and city council are a putz and a half.

I had similar seats there a few years back, the view is quite amazing. I had no idea what a beautiful city Pittsburgh was until then.

funny, i went to a pirates game against the giants last summer.
what a change from yankee stadium. my friend's uncle works there, so we got free beer and sandwiches, along with free seats and a chance to see bonds!

i suggest Pomani (spelling?) sandwiches after you get a nice buzz going. They are clutch.

Awesome that you're going to a game, but Bonds is out and Pitt sucks. Cool if you are actually a fan of either team though.

If you're a real fan, you'd understand.

As soon as I can figure out a way to manage it, I'm going to attend a game at every single major league stadium all in one season. :)

I went to a game at the old Three Rivers Stadium once when I was in college. I think Pittsburgh is a fairly cool town actually.

OMG, you might get to see a fracas. Jose Mesa stated that anytime he faces Omar Vizquel that he would hit him. And if Omar tries to rush the mound, that he would try and kill him. This was because Omar blamed Mesa for losing game 7 of the world series to the Marlins in his book.

Seen the Marlins play plenty of times, they're just down the road from me about 15 mins or so, its going to suck once they get their new stadium in down town Miami though. I refuse to go there unless I have to for work.

There's nothing like watching a MLB game in the actual ballpark. I also had to wait a long time for MLB when I lived in Tampa. Even with the joke that is the D-Rays, I still got a 20 game pak to see them every year until I moved to Toronto.

Have fun Nik.
