Actually I only count 12 per rack. :p

Thus, it would take 184 racks. :Q

The racks just look like shelves though - cheap.

Doh! Yeah, forgot about that  Thus that's "only" 92 racks. If it were a G5 1U Xserve (which doesn't yet exist), it would be 84 processors per rack, and thus only 27 racks would be needed, less than a 3rd of those needed with the Power Mac. (The Power Macs are almost 5U thick.)

By the way, I think they may have all come with DVD/CD-RW combo drives too in addition to the Radeon 9600 Pro. Hmm...

Not sure but I think each also came with a Radeon 9600 Pro but I dunno if they removed them or not (or if it even runs without it).

"Does it render?

Yes, incidentally, it does. The units came with high end graphics cards"

from your last link

Yeah, but I'm not sure what he meant by that. For render farms you don't need a video card. It's all done by the CPU. (The Pixar ones don't even have video cards.) Plus he didn't say which specific card either. (I was thinking Radeon 9600 Pro because that's the stock config for it, and they don't offer a cheaper card for this model.)
