Pics of the new house!

Tell him to be careful spitting out the window....he might hit the neighbor. 😀

Serious though, it looks nice. 🙂

Construction on my first ever NEW house will begin in July and I hope it's done by Thanksgiving. The builder says about 5 months depending in part on the weather.

The copper gutters will look much better after they oxidize and turn green. A house down the street from me has the same setup and it looked like crap for about 6 months but looks pretty cool now.

Ah, clusterhomes. Gotta love 'em. This has been a big trend lately in Atlanta.....knock down an old home and build 4-5 huge homes 3 feet from each other on the lot. I'll take my 1600 square feet and 1/3 acre lot any day thank you.😉

House looks very nice tho. Is it 4 side brick?

Gutters will look great after they oxidize. Copper also last a really damn long time once it's installed.

very good point, green like the statue of liberty

pretty fine house...how much did it cost to make 350K to 400k?....would have been better if there was a good front and a backyard...house looks terrific though...

It's a beautiful house, though way too close to neighbors' lots for my taste.

The copper drains look like expensive plumbing right now, but as mentioned above, will be lovely after they age a bit.

<< Damn...quite nice...would you mind if I asked who's your daddy and what does he do? 🙂 >>

😛 Owns a couple businesses relating to medicare and medicaid hospital reimbursement. I'll have a nice inheritance when he kicks the bucket. 🙂

Yeah, im not sure the "cluster" idea was ideal for him, but its in a nice area in dallas. He really is only going to use it as a base for him businesses (he works from home when not on the road), so I dont think yard and lot size were that important. He said it had a small courtyard in the back but not very big. I think its brick all around.

He didnt tell me but I suspect its substantially more than that. He got the price knocked down by about 70K and made them do about 20K in improvements before he bought it, so I suspect it has to be at least in the 600-700K range. Dont know exactly.

Nice to hear the gutters will look better after time. Right now they just look crappy. 🙁 (not like it matters to me personally, I dont live there).

Wow, that looks like a pretty snazzy house to me. Like everyone says, the gutters are terrible, but they will look very nice once they oxidize.

Thanks, but its not like he needs it all living by himself. 😕

It's amazing to see such a large and expensive house on such a small piece of property, but since this is Dallas I can see it perfectly. Texas has plenty of land, but I've seen more than enough developments there with huge houses on acreage that just about equals the house's foundation. Frankly, I prefer lots of acreage for outdoor privacy.

Possibly. This is no 350K-400K house...just look at that brickwork. It's hard to tell the square footage, but it's probably about 4000+...and the inside is probably exquisite.

sweet house.. nice to know when you go visit your dad, you'll have nice accomedations.. i wouldnt mind doing some house sitting for him while he's on the road... 😉
