The Contour was never made as a 2 door. It was the sedan between the Taurus and the Escort. I got the limited edition SVT version.

I rented a V6 late model Contour from Hertz a couple years ago (might have been same year) and that baby had some nice pickup to it. I can only imagine the SVT model...

Very nice! That car does not get the respect it deserves. Probably because to get anything close made in Europe one would spend twice as much....

I always liked the Contour SVT....even though I'm not a huge domestic car fan. Its pretty rare ....I don't see many of it around here in Atlanta.

The Mondeo and Contour are the same cars. For whatever reason, Ford brought them to the US and changed the name. We got the SVT version...

I've got a Silver 98 Contour SVT. 85k miles. Ford really made me angry with this car.

I've been thinking of replacing it, which means I'll need to upgrade a bit. I consider myself a driving enthusiast... and It seems that I'm gonna have to get a hella lot of car to impress me after driving the SVT. It's an awesome car.

The tranny was replaced at 15,000 miles. So it only has ~28,000 miles on it. That and I have an extended warranty.

Yeah, i guessed they were the same cars...just we have a sporty model which is labelled the ST200, i guess over there it's labelled SVT

Still nice cars tho
