Pics of some things I saw on this morning's walk...

This is the first day I've been able to play with my new PowerShot G7. I don't know much about photography, so the pics may not be real good. Tell me what you think!

Warning: 001 is a pretty big pic.

Exif data is the settings used when the picture was taken. On your computer you might be able to right click on the picture and do a properties, and click an advanced tab to see this info.

This tells you exposure settings, apeture, shutter speed, ect and helps you see what you need to tweak in future pictures.

It's sort of a way of dialing in better pictures.

I'm thinking of getting a rebel xt. i was lookin at the g7, but i figured if i'm going to get one that big anyway, i might as well go full dslr.

I REALLY, REALLY hate canada geese. There is a pond outside my building and they live there. Every SINGLE ****** NIGHT, one of them wakes up with night terrors and freaks out -- around 2-4 AM. Thus the rest wake up and start honking like mad. Makes it nigh impossible to sleep with the window open. They crap *everywhere* and are aggressive to boot. If I didn't think I'd get in trouble, I'd off a bunch of the pests (and the fact that I'd probably feel guilty later). I don't think a bucket trap would work well on a goose...

I'm curious, what were pics 006 and 008? 😀

I think they were more of the same, but with a little experimentation with the zoom (i.e. my wife wanted to see how much the digital zoom pixilated the picture).

Ok. I'm at work, but later on I'll see if I can get the data. Presently, since I'm a photography noob, all the camera settings are on auto.

Well, at least you're out of the closet.
